Top 3 albums?
Not including TCS, what are your top 3 albums DGD has released, and why?
I’ll start:
- Mothership -
The album that got me into DGD. The quintessential Tillian record IMO. Perfect opener and closer to the album.
- Downtown Battle Mountain -
The record that began to define DGD’s sound and got them traction. Hailed as one of the best post-hardcore albums of all time, and for damn good reason.
- Struggling between Death Star and Acceptance Speech -
This is where it gets hard for me. As someone who began listening in the Tillian era, AS feels like home to me. Catchy hooks, incredible riffs… hard not to love.
Death Star has so many classics. Really strong follow up to DBM. I think the highs are better than AS, but I think AS is more consistent with song quality.
