Glitch in the ocean?

Hi! Has anyone had an issue where they are clearing the trash, and the activation thing is revealed to be in a spot that you can’t reach?

When clearing the trash, the golden activation thing appeared (the special song played and everything), but it was right on the black tar (in this pic) and my character couldn’t get close enough to click A and activate it. I gave up, exited diving, and when I came back the activation thing was not in the same spot as before, and even when I clear the little bits of trash that reappear each new dive, the activation thing never comes back. It’s gone!

I have gone the entire other way searching for some way to progress in the ocean other than this one spot, but I’ve hit an entire dead end. I’ve tried exiting and rediving many times over many (real life) days.

Any advice? I’m on Xbox and am using Gamepass to play. Thanks in advance!
