My browser has been glitching since the last update whenever I open more than 4 tabs. Any solutions?

Hi tech geniuses :) Wondering if anyone has a good checklist for making Chrome NOT give me the spinning color wheel of death on my Mac Mini (M2) at random times when I'm doing something simple....

...LIKE CLOSING A BROWSER WINDOW ;)

Context: I usually have 15-20 tabs open across 3 screens...but in reading on the world wide web, that doesn't feel like it should be a problem for me in 2025 lol.
