Does anyone remember the name of this cartoon?

I used to watch this cartoon when I was a child and have completely forgotten the name of it. I remember an episode where the two characters (I think they were some sort of forest elves) had ended up inside a mountain that came to life and in order to come out they started a fire so the mountain entity drank a stream of water?
