Cap regretting cutting someone off?

Cap ghosted our long distance situation six mos ago, broke my heart. It was out of nowhere. Nobody knows why. Nobody saw it coming. We met because we share a best friend, who can’t understand it either.

Him- Cap sun, Pisces Venus. Me- Pisces Sun, Pisces Venus. Both of us with strong Cap stelliums. Romance for a year+ after five years of friendship.

Now I’m hearing he feels bad and wants to reach out and doesn’t know what to say. Him- Mercury in Cap. Me- Mercury in Aquarius.

I don’t get that. Caps are notorious for cutting people off with no regrets. It’s talked about in here constantly. I’ve been working hard to accept that and move on.

But what about when the cappiest cap cuts off and then actually has regrets? How does one navigate that?
