Exercise while EBF

I didn’t bounce back at all after having my baby and I really want to start getting back into shape again. I’ve heard some moms have had a dip in supply after they start exercising again and I’m wondering if anyone has any tips to avoid this? It’s my worst fear because my baby is EBF and won’t take bottles or formula. If it’s safer to just wait to get back in shape after I wean I will do that.

I have also heard that breastfeeding can help take the baby weight off but this is not the case for me. If anything it’s made me gain more weight because of how hungry I get. Is it safe for me to be in a calorie deficit while breastfeeding? I’m scared to lose my supply but I can barely look at myself in the mirror.

Any tips at all would be appreciated.
