What books have stuck with you years after?
For example, I've only read "Tuesdays with Morrie" once when I was in 8th grade (and now i'm going into my freshman year of college) and I still frequently recall lines and bits of knowledge from it. I've retained so much of what it taught me and I was wondering what books other people have been really impacted by.
Edit because apparently it wasn't enough to start a conversation:
The reason Tuesdays with Morrie stuck with me, if I had to narrow things down, would be how it handled its subject matter. I love how it progressed with each session, i.e "On the fourth tuesday we talked about death" and so on. There was specifically a part about detachment where Morrie says: "Detachment doesn't mean you don't let the experience penetrate you. On the contrary, you let it penetrate you fully. That's how you are able to leave it."
I just learned so much from it and I'm glad I read it when I did. I think it's a must read. What books have made you feel a similar way?
