Is always wearing earrings when you leave the house a thing for you?

I saw a post on IG about this, basically saying it's "out of place" or "unpolished" to leave the house without earrings. Everyone in the comments was a Black woman and 99% agreed as though it would be insane to step out without them in.

I remember my mom getting on me a bit about it when I was younger, but not to that level. I wear earrings sometimes, but not most of the time.

Am I alone here? Do you generally always leave the house with earrings? And what is your age?
