Family reunion when baby will be ~4 weeks
Hi everyone! I'm due May 31st with my first and after seeing family this weekend I realized at the yearly reunion they hold around July 4th I will potentially have a 4 week old (if I give birth near my due date.) I honestly haven't even thought about when and where I'll be bringing the baby after birth since I've been so consumed in prepping, but my gut instinct is that 4 weeks is too young for a newborn to be around 30 or so people. That side of the family is also notorious anti vaxxers and I remember cigarette smoke last year which adds to my hesitation, however it will be summer so likely less viruses going around in general. The event is mostly outside but we'd be staying at a house for the weekend with some others. I mentioned this to my husband and he seemed confused why it would be a problem. We will obviously talk to our pediatrician about it when the time comes but curious what your thoughts are?
