Is my Buddy ill?

Hey guys! I got my fish buddy a couple months ago (sadly i kept him in a bowl). Poor guy was very ill and I felt sorry for him and bought a tank for him. He seems much more active now but I still think he has fin rot. Is he going to get better overtime?
