Where has everyone gone in Berlin?

I’ve been living in Berlin for over 5 years (Xberg), and I’m noticing a completely different vibe this spring / summer.

The city used to be more lively during these months, with restaurants and bars always full and people everywhere. This year, however, it feels much different.

Has anyone else noticed this? Did people move to other cities or the outskirts? I can’t figure out if it’s just me or if something has really changed.

I haven’t changed my habits much, and I’m always around Neukölln, Kreuzkölln on spring / summer days.
