How did you get your beagle? Buy from a breeder? Adopt?

My husband and I want to get a beagle. We want to wait until this summer so I can stay home and potty train it (I’m a teacher)

We want it to be a puppy when we get it. What is the best way to go about this? What was your experience? Are they hard to find? We are in West Virginia if this helps.
