Possible incomplete rbbb on ECG/EKG - query about the suitability of stimulant medication for ADHD
I have just been diagnosed with ADHD as a 27 year old female, and required an ECG before my GP doctor would pescribe stimulant medication (I am wanting to use short release Ritalin on weekdays).
In my ECG, it came up with a possible rbbb. They did it twice, and it came up both times. I have had an ECG 2 years ago that came back normal, and about 6 years ago I wore a halter monitor for 24 hours and it also came back totally normal.
My doctor is being vague, and didn't really explain if this is anything to worry about. They also don't want to pescribe me stimulants, and want me to wait and do an ECG again in a couple weeks to see what it says and want my psychiatrist to look at the results too.
I'm just wondering if anyone can provide some insight about whether or not this will be a potential problem with taking stimulant medication? I am questioning if I should be proactive and book in to see a cardiologist to get some proper advice on this.
Thanks so much for any insight, it is appreciated!
