The Apology Hidden within

This is a post analysing Vander's apology letter to Silco, which Silco never reads... but it ends up doubling as an Apology between Silco and Vander's daughters.

The first sentence of the Letter is framed as

"I've looked everywhere, but.... it's clear you don't wanna be found"

This is literally the same as Vi and Jinx. Vi has literally scoured the entire Undercity looking for Jinx and has never found her unless she herself wanted to be found. While This is said Vi turns her back to Jinx. Meaning they can't see each other

The next sentence is,

God I'm shit at this, I'm sorry

This is yet again, literally Vi. Forgiving is not Vi's strong suit. She forgets. To Apologies to someone you need to forgive yourself for the mistake made. Vi never forgave herself even if the mistake wasn't hers. So it's fitting that the sentence is made as Vi is looking at her own shadow

The next line is my favorite as it does so much

When she died, I lost my head

This works on so many levels for Vi. "She" here can be a number of things. It can represent Siblinbs, as Vander is talking about losing Felicia, his sibling, so this could be Vi talking about Mylo and Claggor and her righteous anger and then walking away from Powder. Alternatively, this could be Caitlyn. Death is symbolic of Caitlyn losing her morals and Empathy after Jinx kidnapped her and killed her mother. Caitlyn's only crime at this point was loving Vi and for that she paid dearly.

Then it says

I told myself what I did to you was for the greater good, that you deserved it.

This can mean putting on the Enforcer uniform. Because that's literally the first words Vi speaks in Season 2. Jinx is my fault, fix my Gauntlets, I'll go get her. Then Vi obviously sees the attack on the memorial and puts on the Uniform to bring Jinx in Alive or Dead. This is also the only time the frame comes on Jinx, as it fades from Vi to her. This can serve as a double Apology. Not just from Vi to Jinx, but also Jinx to Vi.

As if to compound the above the next line reads

But the dirt was on both our hands

Directly admitting the mistakes both sisters have done to each other as the frame shows both of them

The last line is

Anyway, you know where to find me, Blisters and Bedrock

Which is the line where Vi turns around to face Jinx. As if saying I cannot find you, but you can always find me, if you need me. And guess when does Jinx eventually find Vi? That's right, covered in Blisters and Bedrock of the mines after fighting against Warwick to save Jinx at her time of need and after making Warwick remember that he is VANDER.

And here is my favourite detail which led me to make this post.

The letter isn't signed as Vander. But just his initials, "V"

The letter is being Read By Jinx (Silco Letter) but it was written by Vander (Vi's Dad) While Vi herself is silent.

So much depth given to a scene where the characters on screen aren't even speaking
