Had to say the hardest goodbye to my favorite coworker and friend

My friend was born here in the US and we’ve been working together for the past 3 years at our warehouse. We became close friends really fast and she’s the type of person who loves her friends unconditionally and she’s the hardest worker I know. It turns out her parents came here years ago, still haven’t become naturalized citizens, and they were just arrested by ICE at a grocery store near our warehouse right after they dropped her off. She usually drives herself but her car has been in the shop for about a week now. Her parents are being sent back to Mexico and she has made the decision to go back to Mexico to be with them. She had the goal of becoming a PA and she worked so hard. She handed in her badge after she clocked out today and I gave her the tightest hug and cried with her. I’m gonna miss you Alaina. F*CK TRUMP!
