favourite fics?? please don’t name any famous ones

please don’t say atyd or cadence or any other well known, or semi-well known one, because trust me, i’ve already read it most likely. i’ve read over 8000 wolfstar-marauders fics, so…

here’s a list of ones ive read on the top of my head:

literally everything by msalexwp. everything. cadence, atyd, atyd sirius’ pov, casting moonshadows, marauders series on wattpad, remain in light, i want to be good, that old black magic, that’s the art of getting by, anything by eyra, anything by the divinecomedian, black mass, every wolfstar by brigidfaye, most of moonymoment apart maybe the huge one that’s not finished, when a star fell to earth, practically an exes to lovers or divorced to lovers - mayors of simpleton, milk thievery, orange juice (something something), the exes to lovers by mollymarymarie (maybe it was called the road not taken?), honey if i’m not/if you’re gonna, flight 132 or whatever the number was, second generation, the other side of sorrow, sweater weather, the kitchens, light of a star sweetly gleaming, like real people do, under the eucalyptus, ten reasons (to go to michigan), my only sunshine, that other one where sirius dies on his motorbike (not personally for me, though i’m not always opposed to mcds), for my impertinence, the stealing harryverse, the famous really, really old one that’s on pdfs that i can’t remember the name of right now, the fall, anything by collgatemintybluegel, light in august, source codes, currents, dear your holiness, here’s to looking at you, 73 aberdeen (these are the type of stories i’d die for, just by the way), roukre, emeryhall’s stuff, what we do to get by, the world is waiting for you, a lie gets halfway etc-etc, bite and prejudice, etc

that’s really on the top of my head. NO jegulus stories, for the love of everything, or background jegulus preferably, unless they’re extremely, extremely background, it’s okay. i’ve read all the famous jegulus fics, and it’s just not for me. no WIPS preferably as well, i really just won’t read something unless it’s finished. the only exception to that rule are things like casting moonshadows that will never, ever be finished and that are worth the read, anyway, and that don’t, at least for wolfstar’s sake, leave you helplessly broken

not a fan of fics where remus or sirius is hopelessly pining after someone else (tomny in cadence, that french guy like into the fire. it’s just not my thing. being with others is one thing but they can’t really be into them deeply. (someone like grant in atyd is fine, though, since remus was never in love with him truly, just loved him. or any girls that they may date, i don’t mind.) love angst, just not that kind of angst. they can be toxic, co-dependent, trust issues like you’ve never seen in your life—that’s all good. also, polyamory, open relationships, or threesomes, or even illusions to it, when they’re together, is a huge no. i will automatically dislike and stop reading fics because of it, and i know i’m not alone. recently, i’ve heard people bringing that up. i’m here for wolfstar. don’t feel shy to recommend older, older fics, even fics where remus’ parents’ names aren’t accurate because they didn’t know them yet lol, or newer ones; i don’t care. in the same breath as jegulus, not a fan of fics where barty and evan are friends with the marauders or depicted as good people (nuanced takes, if done extremely well, sometimes. and even then, usually not). it doesn’t make sense remotely and destroys the marauders to have them be friends with them, no thanks. however, i do love fics with regulus. oh and no insane age-gaps like eighteen and forty, those are extremely uncomfortable, and i personally don’t agree with them. it’s also almost always, always sirius as well who’s the much younger one, and it feels… just no, for me. smaller age-gaps, depending the age of the younger person, don’t bother me. sorry, i feel like asking for recs is such a hassle when you’ve read so many fics, because people are constantly naming ones i’ve already read. still don’t be afraid to name bigger ones, i haven’t read some of the most bigger ones. friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, morally grey, magical, muggle, amazing one-shots—i could care less. if it’s good, i’m here for it <3 feel free to self-promote if the story is finished <3
