Suddenly Getting Tons of Comments on My Novel—Is This Normal?

So, I’ve never done this before… but I’ve been posting my novel Double Exposure online, just following the standard advice—two chapters a week, keeping a consistent schedule, etc. At first, it was quiet. A comment here, a like there. Nothing crazy.

But now? Suddenly, I’m getting a TON of comments. Like, way more than before. I’m not sure if this means my book is gaining traction, or if people are just now finding it interesting? I haven’t changed anything, just kept posting as usual.

Is this how it happens? Does it mean the story is taking off, or did it just hit some kind of visibility boost? Anyone else experienced this kind of sudden jump?
