Timing belt related gears
Hello all, recently diagnosed my 240 with a bad head gasket and the service is underway. I’ve used a pneumatic impact gun to break free the cam, intermediate, and crank bolt. All without having to order that holder tool that IPD sells. Question is. Can I use the impact to put them back on? Not sure torque specs or how picky the gear bolts are. Was hoping some ugga duggas would do it but don’t want mess anything up. Also while I’m at it. Anyone know how to determine if timing belt tensioner bearing is bad? I’ll probably replace it regardless, but when I spin it, it spins like a skateboard would. Very free spinning, not loose or anything. Figured I’d ask, I’m not the most experienced mechanic by any means as I’m only 17 years old. But tryna figure out everything part by part. Thanks
