Making this edit at the top so people see: I recognize temporarily restricting American posts was a bad idea initially and changed my mind on the suggestion

Look, I’ll make this as short as I can. I think we’ve heard everything we need to hear from the many strong individual allies we have south of the border, and I for one am tired of hearing about planned trips or maple syrup purchases. There are subs like r/BuyCanadian for boycott/tariff related discussion. I am suggesting a temporary pause on posts from American tourists or Americans attempting to express solidarity with us - the sentiment is genuinely appreciated but it just makes me more anxious and frustrated. I recognize the importance of tourism to our local economy wholeheartedly but I don’t think Reddit is the main source of tourist information. It is ok if I’m alone in feeling this and will delete the post
