Positive News

Hey.

I know this forum is super depressing. I wanted to give some positive reassurances.

I got better. Im basically fine now. Gut is 80% healthy. Everything else is 100%. I am as smart as I used to be. My memory that got completely shot is back to how it used to be. My mood is good. My energy is good. I work out for 90 mins every day. Lifting, sprinting, cardio all that jazz. I am creative again. Im not depressed or hopeless. Im able to drink alcohol again and party again but generally choose not to (with rare exceptions).

Gut is not fully healed, but manageable if I am strategic with psyllium. I'm assuming more time with fiber ( which I can digest now, post SIBO and mold treatment) will slowly improve it.

A year ago, I was panicked every day wondering if I would ever get better. I wondered if it would be easier to just die. I couldn't even tour apartments without reacting to the fumes. I couldn't think, could hardly digest anything except meat.

Phenomenal research is being done in a lab in australia. This basically had to be forced to be done by Lucy Wicks, a high ranking member of government in Australia who got CIRS. She forced research to start. Doctors left to their own devices certainly wouldn't have gotten this done, so you can thank her.

Confirming what we all knew from Shoemaker. Stuff that is obvious to people on this forum like MSH correlating with symptoms. However, science is slow. I'm grateful it's getting done, even if it's late.

I am hoping RFK Jr. can get something similar through. I know he knows a great deal about mold. I do not agree with him on everything and I will leave politics out of this forum. But I think there is reason to believe he can make changes when it comes to mold in the USA similar to Lucy Wicks did in Australia.

Edit:
Holy crap. Sorry I do not check reddit too much these days so I missed these messages. A lot of you are asking what I did to get better.

  1. Remove from exposure. I moved to a new apartment and had it ERMI tested during the walkthrough. You have to play an awkward dance where u put down a deposit and get the results back before signing the lease. It is doable with communication. Avoid landlords that become defensive when you ask about mold. Many landlords are bastards.

  2. Binders binders binders. I did CSM and mixed in charcoal, chlorella, and some other stuff on a less frequent basis.

  3. SIBO kill. I have done harsher treatments for SIBO for and also starved it out befoer on carnivore. It would always recur. This time my Dr gave me herbs. This took like 2 months of slowly ramping up.

  4. Sinus. I had a BEG spray with itraconazole in it. This triggered a fever for me and then this monstrous green and black thing came out of my nose. After that I did not really have substantial sinus issues.

  5. VIP. It was VIP time baby! It gives u life back.

Super important: Make sure you can poop. Figure out what works for you. Personally, I used senna, psyllium, magnesium to stay regular. I know other people use different fiber types and you need to find what works for your gut. Magnesium is good for a lot of people. Senna is a stimulant laxative that you have to be careful with but its very effective.

You simply will not get better if you are not pooping. You will just recirculate bad stuff back into your body.

I had to move twice before I found a good place to live. ERMI is key here. Also learning how to smell and search for mold is important.

Also it is worth working with a good doctor. But I had to go through two i didn't like before I found one i like. Beware of money hungry doctors and scammers.
