Is a regular steamDeck still worth it?

I was wondering if a normal/Not Oled deck is still worth it or not. I’m wanting to get one as a Christmas gift for my partner but, not sure if I’ll have the money for an Oled as things are tight at the moment. I know my partner would love to play games likes like Elden ring, Cyberpunk, Baldur’s gate and Hades 2 so curious if a regular deck would be good enough or not. Thanks to any and all answers:p
