Why does the destruction of Taris feel more horrific then Alderaan or Hosnian Prime?

Replaying Kotor and it hit me that the destruction of Taris feels more horrific to watch than Alderaan or Hosnian Prime. With us being able to see the planet slowly burn as we escape knowing that all the people we helped are probably dead or soon to be dead.

Anyone else feel the same?
