Any glute exercise causes mini flare up

Even just 10 reps of bridge, clamshell, or bodyweight squat (not all in 1 day) and I get some sort of pain symptom. Whether its on the outside of my hip or the top of my glute medius. I haven't had any procedure, I want to rehab my injury with proper exercise.

Background: Pain for almost a year after a fall, MRI 6 months ago shows disc extrusion, stenosis, and grade 2 spondy. Also have mild scoliosis. Since mri I've worked off sciatica and built walking tolerance from 12 minutes to almost an hour. PT said abductors are weak but as you see its hard to work on that.
