First time sewing zippers!
I have been trying to up my sewing game, which is hard because I am largely self-taught, and decided I would take the incentive and deadline of Christmas to learn zippers. I also was gifted a bunch of scraps/remnants, including mask panels. (Thanks to r/sewhelp I now know what "panel" fabric is!) As I have NO interest in ever making a mask again (I made and gifted hundreds in 20/21), I was happy to be inspired to make an alternative.
I followed a quick tutorial on She Sews Seams and took it from there. Now that I have made literally 40 zipper pouches, I can safely say that I feel a lot less intimidated by them. I think zipper by the yard vs others helped, too. Now to learn zipper tabs, as well as putting a zipper in a garment! These are a few of the panel fabric ones, and a stack before wrapping. The ones I made for coworkers have already gone out.
For the panel ones, I made them coordinating characters, so the first and second pics are the same pouches, just flipped over in the same spots (like Bowser and Mario, for example).
