SPOILERS What am I missing? There's a fight I remember doing that's not here...
I played through Sekiro back in 2021, but for external reasons I had to put it down before I was able to beat the final boss, and by the time I picked it back up my hands had totally forgotten how to play.
I'm doing a second playthrough now, from the beginning.
I've done all the exact same things as before, and I think in exactly the same order:
- Do the Hirata Estate
- Fight Geni
- Ape
- Mortal Blade
- Get rice for Kuro and eat the ball in front of him
- Mibu Village and Stone
- Stay loyal to Kuro and kill Owl
- Give Divine Child snake hearts
Last time, I distinctly remember being able to go back to the Hirata Estate and fight younger Owl. He had a cool bird attack and everything, and I got a second Bell Charm out of the deal. But when I go back now it's all empty.
The only thing I can think that I did differently is that this time I didn't kill the nice fat monk man (I remember him being so sad when he died and I figured out the fan puzzle this time), and I also found a sidequest in the dungeon where some mad doctor wants a person to experiment on and I sent him the guy who was obsessed with O'Rin (since he was going to have a bad time either way). I wouldn't expect either of those to have an impact on this but maybe I'm wrong?
As far as I know I've exhausted all of Isshin's and Emma's Sake dialogue, and everyone is looping on their post-Owl lines now. I'm avoiding killing the Divine Dragon because I don't want to start the endgame and potentially lock myself out of that really cool fight.
How do I unlock that cool Owl re-fight? I don't want to just look up a guide because those usually have spoilers including how to get certain endings (which I don't wanna see until I've beaten the game at least once).
