Why are clients doing this

I've gotten a number of requests in the past few days. I message them asking for their availability for a meet and greet, then I'm ghosted. Why are clients doing this all of a sudden?? Like if you find someone else, just tell us. Especially with the new update where you might not show up in the search for those dates if the request isn't archived, it could be costing me more business. What do yall generally do in this situation? Text again in a few days or archive after a day with no response?

Also hate how Rover did that with the update. I'm not a big fan of it and can't imagine many people are.
