How to have fun

I want to come back to realm, but have no idea what to do in the game that is fun. I stopped playing realm after I grinder the heck out of o3 when it was fun, and now it is boring. Maybe I’m playing the game wrong and am not sure what to do. But in my opinion everything is old and repetitive. Grinding exalts is so boring, and that seems like the only new content. What else is there to this game that keeps people playing? I have been playing for 8 years, how are other old players still having fun?
