Wiping my acccount - Yes or no?

I haven't really played Rotmg for the past 2 years but have recently been looking for something to sink my free time in. Logging into the game, all I see is a bunch of 8/8 characters and a full vault of stuff that doesn't really matter to me. With the new season right around the corner, I'm thinking about suiciding my characters and just feeding all my gear, starting fresh and a sort of rebirth of the account.

Is there anyone else who was in a similar position? What did you do? And if you wiped, do you regret it? Would love to hear your guys' thoughts before (not) pulling the trigger.

Edit: Thanks for the responses! I suck at O3 so ill be throwing my 8/8s on that as suggested, then play seasonal and see where we go from there.
