Live audio/video playback

I'm about to try using Reaper for live A/V playback. I've used a few other DAWs in the past and never been 100% happy with them, but Reaper seems to tick more of the boxes than others I've tried. Wondering if anyone has any tips, optimizations, things I should look out for, etc.

Quick rundown:

- I'll be running the show from a Macbook Pro (M4 Max, 48 GB RAM), running macOS 15.1
- Using Reaper 7.27
- Video is standard HD @ 23.97 frames, from the Mac's HDMI port to the house projector
- Audio is thru a PlayAudio1U (https://www.iconnectivity.com/playaudio1u)
- Audio is stereo tracks going to FOH, and 3 mono click/reference tracks going to the band IEMs

I've been running in rehearsals for about a week and it seems stable.

The only issues I've run into so far:

- If I zoom in/out with the trackpad, that can sometimes cause playback to restart from the playhead. Super weird, no idea why it's doing that, so I just stopped zooming with the trackpad and use the +/- keys instead. It doesn't seem to happen when I zoom with the keys.
- When running video in fullscreen, clicking off of the Reaper app into any other app will show the Mac menu bar, and once it shows up, the only way to get rid of it is to take the video out of fullscreen and then put it back into fullscreen. Again, easy enough to avoid, just don't click off of Reaper.
