Got a verbal fellowship offer from FleishmanHillard, ended up getting ghosted

In July, I got a verbal offer for their fellowship program as a art director/designer. I was so excited because I had been faithfully grinding and applying to opportunities that would be willing to give me a chance since I graduated in May. The hiring manager reassured me that I would get an offer letter even though the timeline would be lengthy. For the past few months since then, I’ve been emailing for updates where she responded by saying they were still processing the actual letter. As of rn, I’ve completely given up on that offer. I’m just so disappointed bc these last few months have been so demoralizing to me as a designer looking to get my foot in the door. The only thing keeping me sharp is volunteering my design skills to non- profits in need. Even though I’m not getting compensated monetarily, the volunteer work is keeping me from losing self esteem as a designer which can lead me to desperately apply to jobs. If you guys have any advice on how I can move forward and not get totally bummed out by this, it’s well appreciated. If not, thanks for reading!
