I have unparalleled shiny luck...
...but mostly in snakes. Caught MFin' Snake on my Plane today.
And yes, it is wasteful, but I do evolve them all eventually. To me, shiny Arbok just pops but shiny Ekans looks like he got a little queasy reading in the back of the car on a long drive.
