What is this? First time breaking this gun down and I noticed these white specks all over bcg and inside of the upper.

Had failure to feed multiple times at the range today. Also had an empty stuck in battery and had to mortar to get it out. I’m new to ARs so just seeking help/advice. Shooting IMI 62gr.
