Farming for gold vs cooking

Hi all! I’ve been following & implementing a lot of farming tips to maximize gold, especially since I finally have apples. But I’m wondering, when farming that way, what do you do about cooking ingredients? Like corn or veggies for instance.

Do you buy them? Or just add them to your garden rotation when needed? Or just stock up? Trying to make the most of my plot as farming is my least favorite but most necessary activity.
