Multiple low-activity channels or one mix-bag channel, what's better?
Hi all, I'm a solo game dev and artist trying to get into youtube to promote the stuff I do.
An advice I see a lot of people give is finding "a niche" and focusing in on that one, but, since I do both drawing, music and game dev I end up having very eclectic content with speedpaints, songs, albums, and I'm thinking of doing devlogs / gamedev related stuff
(and maybe will end-up doing some more chill entertainment videos just for the fun of it on top of it...)
All of the stuff I do is obviously time-consuming, and being only one of me I cannot do all of those types of contents regularly at the same time.
So, I wonder, what's best in y'all experiences between having a channel that have all your stuff gathered that post fairly regularly or having a lot of different channels that all do their stuff independently with possibly months of inactivity?
I'm especially curious on the experience of those that'd have a similar experience doing more artistic-related content, since here the artistic content from a specific author would I think probably be more likely to convert audiances between content types then a channel doing more non-personnal content like commentary since those the niche/theme itself takes precedent over the personnal touch I'd reckon?
(even if the personnal touch IS always important regardless, I feel like for exemple a car-related channel would struggle more to keep their public for movie-related content then an illustration artist would do to keep their audiance for their music)
