Does the private auto sessions reservations matter?

I'm sure the panels will still be able to get in, reserved or not, but what about the autos? Is there a standby line? Is there a way if I show up first without a reservation they'll still let me through, or will they have to scan something and if I don't have a reservation code I'm not allowed in?
