What is the state of the Go programming language?

I know a lot of languages that are doing great in morocco. Most popular must be Java for sure. PHP and JS are pretty popular as well. Others like C# have a presence. But what about Go?

I just want to know if anyone here is using Go professionally. If so, in which field. Is it web, embedded or what ? In which city ? And if possible to mention the name of companies you know are using Go in production?
