Hikari never had a choice in H2.
What did Hikari mean by the "right to choose "? That she can never abandon Hideo because he needs her?
Hideo affirms that he needs her more than anyone, but I think Hikari had just come to realize this (after the game) which must be why she doesn't have a "right" to leave him, even if she loves Hiro more. It's mandatory we revisit this conversation between Hideo and Hikari. Hikari has fallen in love with Hideo and because he's "a pathetic guy who couldn't meet half of his own potential without her" she cannot leave him or choose someone else. She is in love with Hiro too but Hideo needs her. I think this would be the most pessimistic interpretation of events but how do you feel on it? Do you think this has relevance towards her final decision in the end?
Hikari's mom also stated Hikari would "feel for the loser first."
wow, the implications this has on Hikari as a character, the ending as a whole. I'm exhausted.
