Worst Films you asked your Parents/Guardian or Older Family Member to take you to see it in Theaters?

Back when you were a kid, what films you went to see in theaters because you were in the target demographic age...but years later you realize how agonising your parents, guardian or older family member must have been while watching it with you (regardless if you liked the movie back then or not)?

For me there’s a few:

  • I asked my grandparents to take me to see Judy Moody and The NOT Bummer Summer when I was 11 (didn’t really care back then).

  • I asked my other grandma to take me to see Barnyard when I was 6 which I ended up seeing it in theaters twice with her because my sister didn’t get to see it with us the first time. Also my Mom took us to see it in theaters which was my third time seeing it (at a 2nd-run theater) (I remember loving it as the kid but now I’m embarrassed to rewatch it since some clips I rewatch didn’t age well (except for Ben’s death scene)).

  • I asked my cousin to take me to see Cars 2 when I was 11 because I was a Pixar fan (I am still a Pixar fan to this day) (While I was bored when I saw it the first time, but after multiple rewatches years later), I thought it was just okay and not as bad as others said it was).

  • Okay, I might cheat on this one but I asked one of my Mom’s boyfriends at the time (who unfortunately passed away in December 2016) to take me to see Strange Magic when I was 15. Even though I thought the trailers were bad and don’t understand what it supposed to be about, but I still wanted to see it because I’m a animation fan and I been told to don’t judge a movie by its trailer (I thought it was surprisingly okay at first but when I rewatched it a couple years later, it holds up badly.

There’s a few more but I don’t really remember.
