Could possibly lose scholarship and admission

Hi friends so I am deeply in need of advice! Basically what happened is after I moved across the country to take this summer program in _____School of Law, the dean asks me to go to her office and tells me that they haven't received my degree conferral yet. I called my school and they told me that they are unable to confer my degree because after auditing my degree, it turns out some of my community college courses didn't transfer and I am 2.5 units short of obtaining my degree. The school tells me since I have in fact not graduated I can't attend law school. I told them I have already moved and signed a lease and it is impossible for me to break it without expensive repercussions. The school tells me that participation in the summer program is necessary for my admission into the law school. The summer program is for people whose LSAT falls below the median of the law school's LSAT. I talked to my school and told them that I want to petition for them to accept this one 3.0 unit class which according to the transfer website should carry over. However the school told me regardless, even if the petition goes through I would still be unable to attend the summer program and therefore have two options: 1) Defer enrollment to Summer 2024 so I can partake in the summer program then or 2) petition admissions committee to waive the summer program requirement and allow me to matriculate Fall 2023 without the summer program. Please advise me on what to do and how to write a good petition because there is always a chance the petition won't be accepted. I'm very annoyed because how come the school didn't notice this earlier? I applied back in January and got accepted in April yet in the end of June they discover this discrepancy?? Also my school is also at fault because they told me I had enough units(on paper) and lets me apply for my degree without once telling me there's a chance my units won't be enough. Please advise me what to do! I want to go for the second option imo because I don't want to pay for rent and not go to school for an entire year.
