I'm scared of the Risks of Lasik
Hi, I'm about to have a Lasik surgery at the 12th of this month. I was initially extremely excited and happy that my doctor said that I'm a good candidate but after reading about people with bad experiences I now got a bit scared and I'm pretty afraid that something might go wrong.
I'm 21 and my prescription is just -1.75 in one eye and -1.25 in the other but I literally cannot see anything without my glasses (super blurry). My main issue with glasses is that I love going to water parks (I literally live nearby to 3 of them) and even travel to other countries just to go to their water parks. As someone who cannot see anything without glasses, you can imagine how sad and mentally painful it is for me that I cannot see anything while visiting new water parks. It got so bad to the point where I literally got depressed for wearing glasses hence why I looked for a doctor to do this procedure.
How dangerous is Lasik for someone of my age and with a "small" prescription? I don't mind getting a mild side effect like halos and or dry eye syndrome but I cannot imagine living if I got a really bad side effect. Should I be worried or am I just overthinking?
