Scarlet Johansen said she'd be willing to die in Rebirth, that'd be a nice way to reinvigorate stakes back into the franchise!
I forget where but in an interview months ago Scarlet Johansen said she'd be willing to die in a Jurassic World: Rebirth since she's loved the movies since she was a child, I think with how superhero esc the characters were portrayed in Dominion, having a movie where the protagonists lose or at least sacrifice themselves would be a really refreshing change of pace! Rebirth could be the Rogue One of the Jurassic World franchise, where the heroes actually lose!
Just imagine, Zora Bennett has successfully boarded the cargo ship with her DNA samples but it is revealed a velociraptor had snuck on uninvited, as Zoras eyes widen the carnivore pounces on her, the camera pans away as we hear her screams followed by the heavy grunts and snarls of the raptor as it burrows its snout into a fresh kill, then the credits roll, but we don't hear any uplifting music, we just hear the boat horn notifying that departing from the island is imminent alongside the noise of waves splashing alongside the vessel.
Maybe they don't even escape the island, show the tyrannosaurus stalking Zora as she makes her way down a trail towards the loading docks beneath a harsh storm, rain muffling her hearing, the audience watches in horror as Mrs. Bennett tries to quietly sneak towards her only chance of escape while the trex creep's only a couple feet behind her, she slowly succumbs to the realization of her situation, noticing the ground shake beneath her feet with every step she takes, she tries to speed up, finally after what felt like forever she notices an exit sign towards the docks, just as she prepares for a sprint the tyrant king snatches her like a vermin, shaking her in its mouth like a dog toy before swallowing her whole, as the credits roll we expect to get greeted by a lighthearted melody but instead we hear something more akin to an ominous booming symphony more fitting for the victory of the Tyrant King!
