Who are the current jazz artists to follow?

I’ve always loved jazz music but it’s been more of a backward looking genre for me with all my fave guys being either dead or 900 years old. Now that I live in a big east coast city, I have lots of ppportunities to see live jazz which is awesome, but idk who is really legit that is worth spending the money on to go see. Who are some names I should be looking out for to definitely go see if they come around?
