People and staring problem

What's the problem with people staring? At first I thought it was just the mohallah walla but even in university, both guys and girls stare at me. My friends and some classmates have called my face pretty but still, they're probably joking or something. And before anyone says that it's inside my head, I've caught several people, both male and female, staring at me and when I look at them, they snap their head around. Am I missing something here? I don't wear liberal clothes(not if you consider some simple pants with a black t shirt and a black hoodie liberal), I have curly hair but so do other people and I'm not popular at all(I'm an introvert). So what is this? As an overthinker, I just can't get this out of my head. Thora so burger hu, so that might be it, but idk
