Louis and Armand age gap (Book)

I read Interview, and Louis talked about Armand as if he was a man. He omitted any mention that he is actually a boy. Then I read TVL and I found out Armand was a boy when he was turned. I was holding onto hope that there was some way that Armand was going to magically age but he didn’t. I haven’t read TVA, but google said he was 17 when he when the Dark Trick was worked.

I’m not saying this to morally critique Louis, a fictional vampire who kills and eats people. But it is odd to me that he completely omitted mentioning that Armand was very visibly a teenager when telling the story of their romance. That feels intentional on his part. If this were a real situation, that is. I just wanted to hear other takes on it. I don’t speak for the show, haven’t seen season 2 yet.
