has anyone acutally reversed it?

Hi, so I'm wondering is there anyone who actually reversed severe IR? If so, how did you do it? On some IR forum people say the longer you go with low carb diet the spikes are going to be more severe when you finally do eat carbs or sugar. Is there anyway to go around this? Like I am trying to reverse it (my homa ir is 4.1) but once I do reverse it (if its even possible) I want to live normally. By normally I mean still eat healthy but once I eat ice cream or a chocolate or a sandwich I don't want to worry about huuuge spikes. So, how much carbs do you, my people with severe IR, eat? Also, I've heard that okra tea is amazing for IR so if anyone has experience with it it would be nice.
