How I improved my dark circles
I suffered from very dark under-eye circles for all my life. My nickname was panda in high school. Literally my biggest insecurity. I have tried everything to try to improve my dark circles and now I feel I've brightened them about 50% than how they were last year. I wanna share this so hopefully I can help someone else in the same boat.
If you are an indian girl, I urge you to get your Iron and Vitamin B levels checked. Anemia and Vitamin B deficiency is extremely common among indian girls and dark circles are closely connected with this. I lived my entire life thinking my dark circles were genetic because every woman in my family has them. Turns out, it was a combination of iron-vitamin B deficiency that every woman in my family has as vegetarians. Even if you're not vegetarian, there's a strong chance you could still be deficient if you have dark circles. I cannot emphasize this enough.
I've been on iron and vitamin B12 supplements for the last 1 year (after getting tests) and other than the obvious health benefits, my dark circles have improved by 50%. Last year I looked like someone punched me in my eye, now they look drastically better. I'm hopeful that with continuous use they improve even more.
For daytime, I focus on keeping them hydrated (hylaronic acid, snail mucin or lotion)
My night eye-care routine:
1 drop of The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum under eyes -> Wait to dry
Cerave Eye Repair Cream
Vitamin K cream (!!!)
