What’s a skill or trait you believe everyone should develop?
I believe that cultivating adaptability is essential for everyone, as the capacity to adjust swiftly and navigate the complexities of life with ease is an invaluable asset in adulthood.
For instance, as a supervisor, it is crucial for me to have a clear vision of how my shift should unfold. However, I'm acutely aware that even the most meticulously crafted plans can be disrupted by something as simple as one employee calling in sick. Consequently, I avoid rigid adherence to a single plan and instead consider multiple contingency scenarios, allowing me to adapt swiftly to unforeseen changes.
I think it is far more effective to approach goal-setting with a flexible framework rather than a rigid plan. Life is unpredictable and often indifferent to our intentions, so it is essential to be able to pivot and adapt when circumstances require a change in direction.
