False negative or False positive?

So in october I noticed a wart and decided to take a test from everlywell and it came pack positive for “other high risk strain” I scheduled an appointment and had a pap smear done nov 21. my test results came back negative. Idk if me being on the last day of my period threw the test off but i was positive i had HPV.

Has this happened to someone? Do menstrual cycles change results?
