The Loop on the new Island

So apparently the rock that followed us into the new reality is named the "Zero Point Shard". What if it landing on the island is the reason for the Loop and the Storm appearing on it and there are lots of such Shards in other realities, like Chapter 5 one? There is a surge of purple energy bursting from it as soon as it falls, so perhaps that could be the explanation
