AI just keeps passing the ball around/backwards

how do I fix this? it's so annoying. I just beat Man United 4-0, and they had 80% possession, with no shots at goal, they didn't even got into the box, they would just pass the ball around or/and backwards

ps: I've literally took my hands off of the controller, and they keep passing around/backwards.
